( damon's not above using compulsion against his friends. his moral lines are weird and always fluctuating, ranging from "normal human" to "monster far removed from actual morality". if he saw gain in it, or thought it was necessary, he'd even compel sam. his ambitions, at least, are not on loki or hydra's scale — he wants to live, and he wants to protect his people. unless clint or bucky got in the way of that, there'd be no reason for him to turn on them.
